If you are thinking about quitting smoking, then you might have seen my recent post about Swedish snus. It’s a healthier alternative to smoking that is really popular in Sweden and Norway. We are seeing a growth in the use of snus products here in the UK, and if you’re looking for a way to cut down on the number of cigarettes you smoke, then snus is a great option for you.
If you do decide to give snus a try, then you have a number of different options available to you.
Different types of snus
Firstly, you will need to decide whether to choose loose snus or whether pouches would be better. Loose snus is still fairly compacted as the snus itself is quite moist. With loose snus, you can decide yourself how much you want to use each time. You can choose to have a small portion for a quick hit, or a slightly larger portion if you want to keep it in your mouth for a little longer.
With snus pouches, the snus is already pre-portioned into small pouches. Even if you do use these, you can still choose between small, medium or larger sized pouches.
Choice of flavours
One of the other great things about snus is that it’s available in a great range of flavours, and there are more and more new flavours being added all the time. Here are just a few of the flavour options:
- Mint – various options including cool mint, spearmint and peppermint
This is just a few of the different flavours currently available but it gives you a good idea of the range available.
